This morning I learned about the passing of a photographer friend of mine, Bill Tuttle. So first of all, I definitely want to send my condolences to his loved ones. Mr. Bill was loved by many because of the love he shared with people. He was one of the most genuine and servant-hearted people I have met in my life. He loved God and church, but he was also very passionate about photography. I am thankful I scheduled a video interview with him before he moved to Arizona.

I’ve always wanted to have Mr. Bill share with me his photography collection and he was interested in some of my art work from back in the day. When news broke out that Mr. Bill had cancer, he wanted to give his photographs away to members of the church. Instantly I wanted to get in on that offer, but instead I told myself I need to record Mr. Bill telling the stories behind each photo. We were able to set up a time and he shared his favorite photos and the stories about the photos.

The video is below, but I want to follow up with a few thoughts. First, I am grateful for recording the conversation. It served many purposes such as the personal time with him, his loved ones now have something to watch that shows Mr. Bill’s passion, and if nobody has heard his stories, this is a chance to hear em.

With all that said, please take my advice and if you have a chance to capture a moment, do it. You don’t know if it could make a difference later in life.

It's been an honor to serve Mr. Bill and Janet with my talents in the area of photography and videography. A while back Mrs. Tuttle passed away and I was asked to create a slideshow of photos of Janet that were hand picked from Mr. Bill. Rather than scanning in all the photos, I recorded a video that had my hands place each photo down every few seconds. I ended up using this technique for my brother Pat’s funeral service as well. The video in both situations had a warm reception. It added a fresh dynamic to what at most times is a typical slideshow presented on PowerPoint.
